War Thunder
This game and the developers as a whole seem sketchy as hell
The whole installing the gaijin client without you knowing (unlesyoureadtheirtosandeula) along with torrenting the download to others, again without you knowing (unlessyougointothetinysettingstab) and there being problems with turning off auto updates makes these developers seem really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sketchy.

Gaijin has the most anti consumer F2P game I've ever seen. You'll have to get used to it if youre interested in playing. The gaijin client is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, however.
Plenty of games like it and, if it has this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in it, I'm more than happy to play a different one.

Name a single game you’ve read he entire EULA to.

Now think, why did you pick this one to target as sketchy?

Anything you install or sign up to has terms and an agreement, you’d be shocked what some of them say.
The gaijinagent is part of the download package, from the people making the game youre downloading and is downloaded with the game, so how is it sketchy?

Also, im going to give you a very complex set of instructions to turn off auto updates:

1. Go to task manager

2. Go to the startup tab

3. Click on the gaijin net agent

4. Click disable.

Literally all it is is an autoupdater for the game. World of Tanks has this. Windows has this. Where's the problem? Don't want it, turn it off.
*sigh* Not like that ALL MMO'S with launcher run like that. And with ALL i mean ALL, even Ragnarok Online, the longest living one to date!(living because there are older ones, yet their long gone, RO is still a thing).

From my prespective your a naive, unexperienced little child . No offense but i hate people like you who cant get knowledge about something and instantly spam crap into a forum.
having a launcher is pretty normal for games made available to steam but not native to it (i play EVE online through steam which has a launcher and has been around since 2003...), because they need to update the game frequently and having to push through updates to the standalone client, PS4 client and XBox One client is already an effort without needing to deal with steam seperatly as well so we get the standalone client launcher

there is nothing inherintly sketchy about peer to peer updating, its quite an efficient update scheme requiring far less infrastructure on gaijins part, certain governments having ISPs block P2P connections is a farcial display of paranoia dooing nothing but advertize their ignorance of the whole subject
Oh, this thread again. WTB Lock as it has been discussed to hell and back again and there's 10,000 threads already on it.
Yeah please lock this troll thread. There is already ways to disable it and if your not using a potato its not bad at all, I mean next they will make a thread on how steam is going when they are in game becuase they didn't check off the whole steam interface in game box in their options...
Gaijin agent is just an auto updater, how often do we have to say this

It can constantly reenable itself, however.
The War Thunder launcher clearly says that you can turn auto updates off in the launcher settings however it constantly re enables it, i don't care if there are workarounds for turning it off, the point is that it RE ENABLES ITSELF, and it's the only setting that does this. Also the gaijin client is quite hidden and can use up bandwidth and cpu without you knowing. P2P connections WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE is my problem, you wouldn't know if you didn't go into the settings tab.
So don't play it done, you know windows will use bandwith with out your knowledge and there is no way to turn it off at all with windows 10. I mean you using dial up, or you in a country with net limits?

And it renables itself once a blue moon. If you unistall when its not an issue and I mean a proper unistall. I check all the time its never actaully running on my pc unless I turn the thing on. Right now I did 2 hours of CBT today, never toggled it off its not on my proccess list at all. You guys exagerate this so bad.

Windows is an operating system, this is some random video game, there's a difference. It's (from what i can see) a known problem that you can't uncheck auto updates which isn't ok.

WTH you cant expect anyone to play against you using an outdated client and them using the latest version that would be stupid.

Nothing you have said to date in this post is short of stupid but this takes the cake.
