Opinions on Port Novorossiysk
I'm curious to know the general opinion on the map in Tank battles, wether it be AB, RB, or SB.

EDIT: I personally hate the map with a passion on RB, North spawn usually ends up losing 9 out of 10 games.

Its weird that point C is heavily favored by the southern team.

Which is specifically why North spawn loses most of the games.
Depends on which of the 3 possible subsections of the map you are talking about.

AB; Most part its okay.
RB; Honestly one of the most balanced maps. Yes, when north spawn sits back trying to snipe on the most comon section of the map they usually lose. But when they push ahead they usually win.
SB; Very thrilling.

Not quite. North team can move agressively into the city to the south. I have seen multiple times where south team got annihilated because north team didnt focus on getting C but instead moved into the city. When you can move across the ruins and end up behind the enemy tanks that cover point C you can end up with alot of kills.
The most common one you get is ok. The one where you fight mostly in the eastern area is cancer
I love the little spot on the ruins where you can peek out and get people crossing the bridge, always gets me a few kills. But if you play as the Southern side, there's like 0 way you will lose unless your team is legit braindead or the enemy has their ♥♥♥♥ together, pretty unbalanced because of C being open to people camping the streets.

My sentiments exactly -- sure north spawn can push into ruins and try and flank, but the bridge is totally exposed and they can easily be stopped on their way to ruins.

oh man, ive seen a T95 camp that spot shooting at the bridge, legitamently nothing anyone can do
Winning from the North can be done but all the cards must fall into place for that to happen.... the team needs coordination but in Arcade that is a crap shoot. Have won and lost from both sides so I would attribute that more to matchmaking and how teams stack up against one another, both from a hardware standpoint as well as overall player experience and skill.

It's always been a terrible map, no idea why they've still got it even after people have spoken out about his map numerous times.
i mean, most of these maps have rediculous cheaty hiding spots, and considering you cant shoot through most cover it breaks the game

50% of the player base in the battle will not care about what the other 50% have to say about that map....losers whine about it and the victorious are glad about how the battle went. You win some you lose some......move on.............
It's VERY rare for me to complain about a map (as I can find a way to enjoy most), but Port Novorossiysk is one I can't find much to like. Do I mind some urban combat? Not really. But do I like a map that is almost all knife fighting? I can't say I do. You need to either have very good armor, a fast firing gun, or mobility which really limits options on what you can take, which I almost see as a bit unfair.

Now I'm not just going to do nothing but complain, there are some things I like about it. I do enjoy the intense moments it can make and many spots you can wait in to set an ambush and knock out multiple enemies in a short time. If your team spreads out a bit while having the right tanks, you can also make for quite an easy win and turky shoot at times (especially at the more open rail areas).

But overall, it's a map that does irritate me due to its restricting nature and making it stupid easy to cause teams to get tunnel visioned on a few streets or stuck waiting around one. I'm still not sure on my full stance on it to this day, but I'm not a huge fan.

Terrible map translates to you should be glad you lost? I'm confused on how that "logic" works but okay. Hey, you hear that Leopard A1A1 players, you should be glad that your vehicle fights 1970's vehicles... because you win some and you lose some... Move on man, don't worry about fixing it because that won't solve anything.

Have you considered getting any of the "1970s vehicles?? Try it and maybe some other sap will end up crying rivers..........just sayin'........
i play RB and even if i hate brawling, port of novo isnt the worst map around, its actually quite good imo,the real pain is abandonned factory and stalingrad, and ardennes, imo.
I like the map. Its much about checking corners and timing. Its different and gives your diversity across Maps.
