T29 - Again the King of 6.7

So when this tank was released it was considered "OP", it was though, it was a really good tank, it was new so people didn't know how to kill a T29, but after a while people learned the weakspots and the T29 was no longer "OP". However it was still the King of 6.7, well, until Gaijin started adding more and more HEAT-FS tanks that could easily counter it. After that the T29 was no longer the King of 6.7.

A few months ago I noticed that the AP shell of the T29 was able to penetrate the hull of the Tiger II and Jagdtiger. However this wasn't really smart because the AP ammo had very little damage so you would end up not doing anything to the tank, you could however aim for the left or right side of the Tiger II and detonate the ammo, however this didn't happen very often.

So what is the point of this post?
Well do you remember the last update when all AP ammo were buffed (except the 120mm of the M103/T34), yeah well, the AP ammo for the T29 was buffed as well...
That means you can now go and 1 shot Tiger II's and Jagdtigers. The AP ammo has enough damage to kill the entire crew of a Tiger II if aimed at center of mass.

However this probably makes the T29 OP, so I am expecting that Gaijin will soon remove the AP ammo or move the T29 to 7.0.

Gaijin probably wants to sell more of them to US players / fans, so it was a good route for them to go to not only buff the main shell the French use, but also one the T29 (and many other US tanks use) and British tanks use too, especially since everyone has been complaining about it. But I bet after a while people are gonna say "AP too op" and it'll get the nerf bat again.

basically what happened with first solid shot nerf when the brits first came out and everyone complained about op. then gaijin nerfed it to the ground and brit tanks became underperforming for a while

I still remember grinding the Brits in their CBT and solid shot was not that great then. But APDS was. I clear as day remember slaming 17 pounder APDS from the Comet into T-34-85's and it doing what the AP currently does. It was about 2 weeks after I got the Conqueror that they nerfed it (and also brought last man standing). This is the best solid AP has ever been and worst APDS has been.

But I wasn't using evidence was I? I only mentioned that I made a video about it a couple months ago. And even if I did, there was no recent change to the penetration value of the AP ammo, so the video is still useable.

No because it's outdated evidence in the first place. The AP buff was never about increasing penetration but post-pen damage. Yours simply didnt showcase it. Thats why it's irrelevant because it'd be no different than when the T29 first released nearly 2 years ago.
