Paying to repair every game

After almost every match im paying to repair my tanks and planes not leaving any lions to upgrade or change presets I have other friends who have said they dont need to repair tanks or planes every game Is this a bug? what should I do?

Every vehicle comes with a limited number of free repairs (10 for normal tech tree vehicles and 30 for premium vehicles).

Either your friends haven’t used them up, don’t die, use time repairs, or are trolling you.

If you check the stat card of a vehicle you will see it has a free repair time. If you die in it and uncheck autorepair after battle, you can choose to wait the specified amount of time for it to repair for free. (Usually I’ll just play another nation or different vehicle/s)

Note that you can improve that repair time by putting points into max repair rank and repair speed under the ground maintenance crew skills.

Also, repair costs strongly depend on the vehicle/type.

Especially SPAA often is expensive to repair (Eytreme Example: Ostwind, which has maximum repair costs of 10k ... more than even a Kingtiger (which just costs 7k)
()but that is just one example ... another example: the SPAT Ferdinand, which costs 17k to repair)

It definitely pays of, to always have a rough knowledge about the repair costs of your vehicles and let them dictate which vehicles you use and for what you use them (I only rarely use my Ferdinand, for example ... and I will never use my Ostwind in order to troll tanks (but will instead use it for actual SPAA duty))

Start playing every nation and both ground and air, also set up a few presets in your favourite nation, for example, I have a German arcade ground battles BR 7.7-8.0 line up, 7.7+ tanks are so expensive to repair that I only ever play once a day or so with that line up, then I play a few game 6.7. But my Silver maker line up is 5.7, I have 2 premium and a talisman regular line up so it just rakes in money. I'm currently sitting on just over 11mill silver! But playing with a different lineup every match allows the free repair time to work on the stuff you are not using.

Also, not being funny but git gud, if you are losing all your veichals each round then you need to play less aggressivly and learn how to use your team better, join one of the many free teamspeak/discord groups out there and get in a squad of 4 on comms every match, that way not only will you have a way higher chance of winning the round but you will also get bonuses like best squad etc. If all else fails then if you know you will have a load of free time for war thunder then get a Premium account for that period of time. You can get anything from a day upto a year. It boosts the amount of silver after each match,.

If I use an SPAA and do not get hit, do I still pay a percentage of repairs? ie. maintenance?

If you SPAAG doesn't take any damage, it won't have to be repaired at all.
Also if it takes a little bit of damage but still works, the repair is cheaper/shorter.
