I'm guessing something high tier with APFSDS, perhaps the Abrams or something. APDS/APFSDS are super high velocity, so use something with them.

Probably the Object 120. 152mm gun with APFSDS and a long barrel. Should at least have one of the lowest bullet drops.

look for the highest muzzle velocity which i believe is the 1800m/s on the t64As 3BM12

I think that if you really want to impress people with sniping you need to go against the grain and use the Brummbär!

This should be correct.

Essentially the higher the velocity, the less drop. How much something "falls" per second (vertical) is constant, whereas how far something travels (horizontal) varies, often times significantly even with the same gun.

Many of the newest top-BR tanks have the highest velocity shells in the game, usually some flavor of APDS or APFSDS.

And, for whatever my $0.02 is worth.... It doesn't matter if you have 5+km/s velocity if the post-pen effect is trash. All you are doing at that point is letting the enemy know where you are.

think my longest kill with that was ~700m which is already 3 seconds air time... ive tried longer but the margin of error gets worse and worse as the shots come in steeper and take longer to get there. honestly i wouldnt even call those ranges sniping by other tanks standards

I've killed someone on Kursk with the FV4005 that was 1.7km and had like 5 second travel time lol you could watch it just arc it was glorious that poor Tiger II P done the same with the brumbar but i hit a milk truck with the 76mm so the splash killed him.

fv4005 has 716m/s muzzle velocity so that would only be 2.3 seconds...

congrats you bothered to do the math. I didnt sit there with a stopwatch and time myself it feels ages with shells that lob themselves.

i drinve the thing myself so i had an idea of the velocity... being able to do those calculations fast in your head is necisary to hit a movinng target at extreme ranges

♥♥♥♥ off lol i dont sit there doing math i just play its instinct to just lead the way you put it makes it sound like you're sitting there solving math problems i dont doubt you hitting or playing well but dont sit there and tell me you're calculating equations to hit targets.
