Is the F3D-1 worth it?

I have heard that the F3D-1 is one of the worst jets in the game atm. I haven't even got to the jets in the US tech tree yet. However I am thinking of going down this line for one reason: I am predicting an A-10's release.

I have started a few threads talking about the A-10 and why it can work in WT. We could start many argument's about how the radar, computers and target systems in it would make it OP. Which it would. But that does not mean it will have it. The F3D is designed for night flights. That is why it has a big radar in the nose of the jet. But what does that radar do in WT? Nothing.

The huge buff to the SPAA is another reason I think the A-10 is soon to be added. Why would they buff the hell out of the SPAA's? It is because of the aircraft about to be added.

The armament of the A-10 is not a lot different than the plane it was designed to replace: The AD Skyraider's. Of course the A-10 can take monsters like the AGM-65 Maverick, but that does not mean it has to have bombs/missles like this. The Abram's for example can take depleted uranium APFSDS, but it does not have that due to balance.

The F3D-1 is was an amazing jet for ground RB and SB becouse it can carry two tiny tims or two 2000lbs bombs AND getting an air spawn after resupplying/repair which means you can land and be back in the air with 500-600 kmh amazingly fast with a aced crew
Before the SPAA radar feature you could dominate the battlefield if nobody was in a fighter.

Its still a decent jet, but only in ground battles.

Then the F3D is a good choice for a ground pounder, let those T64B have it!

That OP went from asking how the F3D-1 was to explaining why the A-10 will be added in the future. Literally 2 and a half paragraphs (maybe 3) out of the 4 in this post are about the A-10.

It is both. I thought that the F3D was the worst jet in the game (asked many people in several different games what they thought, and they all said it is the worst in the game). And I was also kinda hoping that leaving "add A-10" would keep out the "Never add a good american vehicle" group that seem to plague the forums. You shoulda seen the thread when I was saying that they should add a M1 Abrams. It got so many replies and everyone was freaking the hell out about the idea of that tank getting added, and it eventually did.

I guess people just don’t like big changes... But if the A-10 gets added, Gajin will have to add it’s equivalent for another nation, so at the end as long as it stays balanced at it’s tier...
