Why are the french tanks so bad?

^Title, I decided to get back into WT after not playing for a LONG while (like, 5-6 months) and I saw that the French got tanks so I wanted to try them, holy jesus what a bad idea.

Why are they so terrible? How do I avoid killing myself on this grind? I can't take it anymore.

Premium account and vehicles. Though, if you are not experienced player, they will always suck since French relied on mobility and firepower. Their tanks are unforgiving to new players.

That is good and well but were talking the ones you first see do not have firepower or mobilty lol. Go play the tank before the B1 that goes 1 mph uphill and can't pen anything from the front almost with its gun and tell us all how that is french mobilty and fire power at its best.

Problem is you don't see the nice french till later. Like I am vet I got fancy titles and everything even was CBT for ground forces, and till I got the b1 oh my god it was the most horrible grind I have ever done in game. It was just crap, and you know it. Maybe you used free exp to skip those tier 1s, but I didn't and it was hell. There planes are a million tiems better then their tier 1 tanks.

But once you hit t2-3 yeah its way better, b1 is almsot a god in battle only like a couple kill it near its teir with ease, but after that it becomes way more about mobilty and firepower. Like their autoloaders are freaking amazing, but you will not see it in those horrible interwar relics at t1. I mean only good thing about their early tanks is they do got some decent armor, that is it, I have trouble pening some of the t1s especially with the t1 french guns. But you go from decent to great armor and slow as hell in french to decentish armor on their few heavies they got minus the b1, and really good mobilty for a heavy., just like their lights swap out armor for speed, mobilty and autoloaders.

They are so bad I weep with frustration nearly, I think if I persist perhaps the grind might be worth it, BUT I cannot do this so have given up before I have a heart attack LOL

Mobility is a joke in early tears, they nearly grind to a halt or go backwards on the slightest incline !!
