Abrams Armor Nerf??

What for? Balance? But tanks like chally got the gun buffed too, and the the armor (turret) is a 50/50 against 400mm apsfds prior to the nerf.

Not a rant, just want someone to shed some light on this matter.

It's also been rumored the A3 model is in Creation/Production, So that might have a thing to do with the Delay.

Lol you can say whatever you want about US tank technology, but the fact is, whenever USSR/Russia comes out with a new tank, we respond with something even much better.

its proven... in fact the US army was criticised for trying to develop its own (quick kill) when there was already a mature annd battle proven system...

theres been a total of ONE Abrams damaged by a RPG-29. For IEDs theres nothing you can really do except stop using tanks on patrols and start using dedicated vehicles like the MRAP, which the US has been doing.

You are basing a decision to spend millions upon millions on a defense system that currently isn't needed. Sure we need such a system when fighting sophisticated enemies like Russia or China but there will be no war with either for the forseable future. That is why there was no rush to implement the system in addition to funds being used for new jets and ships.

i linked two wikileaks sources of abrams crew wounded and killed by rpg29s (and there may be more i dont know of), the only reason there havnt been more is because the US prevented the iraqi army aquiring them for themselves in fear of insurgents getting ahold of them
