turn off hats?

after aprils fools they'll go to normal size. don't think you can disable them.

I am looking for this same option. I clicked on the prompt that comes up when you launch the game, same as you did I assume.

Upon hitting the enable button, it said something very close to, "This will change the User Generated Content option from Historical to Any. Do you want to allow this?"

I assumed that since it said this would change the option from one to another, I would have an option to turn it off. Now I see ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hats everywhere and can also not find that option anywhere to disable it.

I am also being told that after the event they will go down in size...great. I still want them off along with other user generated content. I would rather see only officianl Gajin material.

If I wanted to be forced to see stupid hats, I'd still own TF2.

Hey I found the option to disable user generated content. It must be a small glitch cause when I enabled it via the prompt, that option in the menu went away.

However, upon rebooting my game, that option did return. Under settings > options > other settings, I located it. Way down on the bottom of the options menu.

Phew. That was close.
