The T-34-85 has the overall better mobility though. Biggest draw back to the Panther is turning. Neutral steering is decent, but the turret traverse is similar to an M10, meaning if you get on their sides and they need to turn the turret fast, they are out of luck and you will go right through the 40mm side hull.
Mobility is simply the better option when facing a Panther D. They are great snipers, but a sitting duck when something closes in on them, especially from the sides.
The War Thunder experience.
Also : getting distracted by an enemy who doesn't see you, and then gettinh killed by that other guy that did see you.
Im going to take a break but thanks for all the info, this is a fun game, but grinding my butt off to get into tier IV (When the Russians realized that they needed to stop loading so much explosives into their shells and start redesigning them) and seeing how much RP cost every vehicle just leaves me without any motivation to keep playing
Again, thanks for all the info
But, let me tell you. German 4.7 till 5.7 isn't fitting the urban map meta. They are filled with turretless TD, save the tiger and SPAA (With the Panther D turret rotation, just act like it's a turretless TD). Even with the Tiger, you'll need angling a lot. It's quite harder compared to IS-series which armore already angled. But in Open Map like Kursk they are quite great tho.
Well, i'm saying that because you seems came from soviet tree, which most of them excel at brawling. But don't be afraid, German guns are amazing (20mm, long 75mm, and 88mm).
