Use this. Find the battle you wanted to look for, then the game should also play the replay in advance.
just for a quick explanationn of whats going on, warthunder doesnt save replays as any kind of video format but instead as a list of control inputs which it can use to recreate the match (which is why you can view from any point of veiw), so obviously no other programs know how to do that.
the local replays you are attempting to veiw are incomplete however as they are subject to any connection issues as well as limmited information due to what your client knew about in actual gameplay (to be specific other players wont be recorded in full so you will see some odd behaviour). the server replays you can retrieve from where stinger linked are as close to perfect recordings of the match as possible
and as i explained in my post you access those replays through warthunder... ie launch warthunder and find 'replays' in the menu and it will let you access any in that folder
