Gaijin messed up my controls
So i normally have a PS4 controller plugged into my computer cause i play a few games that use it.
Well i was flying (i fly with custom keyboard controls and mouse controls) and disconnected the controller. game yelled that theree wasnt a controller and reset all my controls to default.. *fked me out of the rest of the match as im struggling cause i hate defualt controls as they are cancer*

So after about 5m of saltyness I had a hunch. If I dont *CLOSE* the game normally then the settings wont save. So i alt + tabbed and opened task manager and ended the task. open the game back and BAM controls are how i set them as they didnt save.

TL;DR If gaijin messes with your controls without you wanting them to.. use task manager to end aces.exe instead of closing the game as it saves on exit.

I just downloaded a backup profile in the event I ever have to replace something. You can do it in your settings, much easier, and can be transferred between machines

Uh no, many games will get their control schemes jumbled or reset to default if you plug/unplug a controller or joystick in the middle of the game ....

Export your setup to a file, reload the file in the future.

Yes, many PC games have issues with control configs. I actually have to leave things disconnected in other games or my flight stick and rudder pedals make it impossible to play some FPS. It's always an excellent idea to back up your control scheme. Just click the export button next time you're in the controls menu.
If they ever get messed up, you just import your backup and you're right back to playing as you were.
