tips for the ho ri prototype and production

just got the ho ri prototype. excluding my durrently bad internet i am enjoying it, but i am having some problems. the shell drop is different to the type 2 75mm in most of the ♥♥♥ tanks before it so i am adjusting. any good tips. best range to engage targetin the ho ri's. etc

The ho-ri production used to be an absolute blast to play for a while, it was my favorite casemate in the game. Then everything changed when the russians (gaijin) attacked (♥♥♥♥♥♥ the shell's performance on any kind of sloping). It still has meme worthy mobility and a hilarious reverse speed for a vehicle of its size.

I recently got the Ho-Ri Prototype, so I can tell you what I know. I use the Ho-Ri as a very defensive tank. On Abandoned Factory I like to take it up North of C and watch that corner all the enemy tanks come through (if spawning to the East), or on Rhine alleyways are good for it. You can use it well as an aggressive pusher, but keep in mind your casemate and lower front plate are weak spots. However, your honorable 105mm gun is almost on par with the IS-2's 122mm D-25T gun. It absolutely nukes everything if it penetrates. Can't say much on the Ho-Ri Production since I don't own it, but it's a direct upgrade armor, shell, and gun wise. Only problem is the Ho-Ri Prototype is 6.0, while the Production is 7.0, and will fight Clubtain Mk 3s and T-62s.

I spammed my Ho-Ri so much to get my STB-1 and ST-A2.
I usually played the tank as a well-armored sniper, using the distance to make every enemy shells bounce on me, while with time I got used to the gun handling. And when enemies were cleared, I could use the pretty good speed to get to points or push the enemy spawn.

Eh, it's only 6.0, it gets downtiered a lot. I took more shots than I should have honestly, usually IS-2s or anything with 200mm+ of pen will go right through the casemate on the front. This match happened to be full of T-34/85s and Tiger 1s who just rushed me with no real attack plan. An important thing in the Ho-Ri is to hide your lower front plate, it's very easily penetrated and your driver can be killed and transmission broken.

But yes, it was quite the match, I think I got 14k RP since I have premium account right now as well. Finally got my ST-A1 too, though right now I'm going for the Production to see if it's any better. If you haven't gotten it already, I highly recommend it.

i just finish researching the type 61 and am now researching the m42 "duster". just trying to stay at 6.7 for a little longer. but the ho ri production is next
