The yak-9 is actually a good energy fighter, which is good since most of the time you are defending against other planes that are attacking from above lol.

109s are still decent as well, especially around the 3.7-4.7 area

I really like the P-47 and the 109 F-4 is really good so there's two examples.

I second this. Excellent fighter, especially when they're expecting you to be a ground attacker.

Throw in P-38s and FW 190s.
