Id take the pershing. Better gun depression, little shorter reload i believe, but an extra 20mm of APHE pen plus even more buffed AP pen. The armor isnt as good, but you just have to play it a bit more conservatively. Its definatly not the fastest tank in the world for sure, so if you have the need for speed, the t44 is a better option, although it isnt particuarly fast anyways.

T-44 is way better, one of the best city fighting tanks available. Half the size, more maneuverable, good chance to bounce from the move and russian nuke ammo that can blow up anything from the side or back with one hit. KTs worst nightmare in the city.

T-44 is a badass brawler, with horrible optics. pershing...i dunno.

I like the M26 but the T44 has way better mobility and very trollish armor.
You just have to remember that you can't kill heavies from the front in an uptier, were the m26 still could use it's APCR

M26 Pershing all the way.In fact it's overall better tank than the T44.

In theory. Ever tried it in practice? Killing Tiger II H with APCR from front when he is not complete noob and wiggles his turret?
Or ever tried to kill Ferdi with APCR?

Ehh I dunno about 5.7, it's got some pretty strong armour on it especially after Gaijin buffed it's slope. I'd say 6.0.

T-44 is bad. I have almost all russian tanks and in my opinion its the worst tank after SU-122. Its mobility is great but armor is not enough for 6.7 and up. For addition you have a 5.3 gun and your BR will allow you to fight 7.3 tanks. So basically tank with armor only great on 6.3 or lower with a gun from a tank at 5.3 facing 7.3 tanks is a nightmare. T-44-100 however is a different story. Basically same armor with slightly more armoured turret with a T-54 gun at 7.0. I think its way more balanced than the T-44. The basic T-44 is facing so tough tanks like Tiger 2 H or even tanks with post war cannons. The 6.3 British Centurion will pen it frontally anywhere at ease. Not talking about 7.0 British L7 with Hesh and 300+ mm of pen and 5 sec reload.

In my opinion you should skip the T-44

A while back, I don't have the notes on hand but they basically made it immune to the 88mm outside of 500mm, which is what it should be.
