There should seriously be tutorials on energy fighting and BnZ compulsary before anyone is allowed to fly planes.
First and foremost you have to realise that the majority of random players you see arent trying to win. Theyre just trying to kill/get a high score. If you arent doing something that will help them get that, then dont expect any help.
Theyre are also trying to get decent RP/Silver. Which you might think ' a win will give us bonus RP so theyll try to help me win the game'. Wrong.
Most have come to realise that they as a single person cant make a difference, due to the rest of the team but them being lemmings. So its best to just focus on what they can do to help themselves.
Also, its the enemy being in OP vehicles. Or 'insert country here' bias. Its not their fault they lost the game. So why change how they played.
Then for those logical types you can add in things like defending bombers giving pretty much no rewards for the associated risks in a lot of cases.
As for having a kill stolen. I personally believe that it is a rare case when a kill is stolen. Like a plane youve crippled falling to earth with no allies/ground targets/bases in its capable area of attack till its death and someone swooping in to kill that'. Thats close to being one of the only examples i can think of.
The tank you just crippled, that the guy is slowly trying to repair while waiting for his death by your next shot suddenly being killed by someone else. Not a kill steal.
There is potential for someone to damage or shoot you before you can kill it, he could then repair and go on to kill someone else. So its in everyones best interest that he dies..
Do people make bad/greedy choices in threat elimination, sure. They might see the easy kill and let a healthy vehicle get by. But regardless, 1 threat is removed. But they also dont know that maybe you have the gunner and driver dead. They just see a tank needing to die.
You did not get a kill and then he somehow stole that kill. You got an assist and they got a kill.
If you want teamwork/communication, squad up.
And no, i dont intentionally go around vulturing kills, but i wont hesitate to shoot a damaged tank if it is at no risk to myself. Seen to many near dead vehicles survive and continue killing.
Arcade is just a clusterf*** at early to mid tiers. Such a fast pace in most games leave little time for people to stop and take everything in. Just like arcade air. Its sort of a pleasant surprise when you and another random stick together work with eachother without any proper comms.
RB it seems to happen a lot more frequent, but the pace is a lot slower. But RB comes with its own annoying issues with team behaviour. And when something goes wrong there you dont always have the option to just respawn.
You get those players who just seem to be trying to ruin your game in each game mode still ofcourse.
If you ever think about RB tanks and want someone to squad with just add me, use discord for comms and have a few regulars i play with. Only reall ever go back to AB though if its with a newer player to tanks whos just starting out. Or someone starting a new nations tanks.
