A simple question.

Ground forces early game is simply rushing forward. The 45mm packs alot of punch and the tanks are mobile. They cant take hits though so be sure to keep moving or hiding.

Mid tree the t-34 needs to be used as an oppertunitist, while the kv1 can be used as a brawler. Only be careful of the panzer 4f2 and td's. Those usually find ways to ruin your day.

Ground forces will consist of you mainly being a brawler tank, except for perhaps the IS-2s and big gun big reload tanks. Use lineups like 3.7 and 5.3/5.7 to grind. Notable tanks are the T-34s (they're almost all good), IS-1, KV-1s, IS-2s, T-54s, ASU-85, Obj 906, IS-3, T-44-100, those sorts of tanks are good.

Air forces, hm, always stay below 3000m or so. Russian planes lose performance at high altitudes, and against a Gustav 109 or something at high alt, it'll be over quickly. This is historical actually, the Germans trained their pilots to not engage Russians below a specific altitude, because they knew the weakness of Russian planes. Use ground targets for the 20mm ShVAK, and tracers for the 7.62 ShKAS, air targets for the 12.7mm. Play style...hm depends on your opponent. Use your engine speed to run from Japanese and British, anything else you're safe turn fighting usually.
And if you want to spend real money. The obj 120 gives crazy in research in simulator
get the la7 b20 or just normal and put talisman on it, basically does eveyrthing well. and i suggest spending gold on t34100, really fun, or t44100 is pretty damn good as well.
Get an IL-2. Wait, no. Get FIVE IL-2s, Don't you DARE ground attack with them, these glorious Jet fighters demand proper use as strike fighters.
