Sometimes, when camos are corrupted, they won’t load or will change to an all black or blurry (low res) camo. If you go into the game launcher and go to the launcher settings, there will be a “Check Files” button. Hit that and any damaged or missing textures will be redownloaded.
Also a possibility:
I myself run on a slow internet connection most of the time (600kb/s) as I’m still using a hotspot where I live and once I hit my data cap, it’s throttled (I know... don’t say it).
BUT on this slow connection sometimes when I’m loading camos I’ll end up either getting the low res one or it will default back to the standard camo like what you were saying with the Bf 110. I too only have this issue with aircraft. Tanks it has never happened even on a slowed connection. I assume this is due to tanksbhaving basically a camo “sheet” that can be stretched and changed instead of planes having a dedicated camo file, usually in a higher resolution.
TL;DR - could be corrupted texture files that a launcher setting check will fix. Could be a slow internet connection that doesn’t allow camos to be downloaded or rendered correctly. One of these is my best guess.
What is your internet connectivity speed OP?
My web speed is about 30kb/s I have done the check files botton that you suggested but I am still having the same problems. I downloaded the game and it's current update at a friends house that is way faster. Took the game a mere hour to download. I was doing some more research and some people suggested the check files integrity in steam. This option is greyed out for me.
The game has never loaded the skins properly. I don't think it's my connection. I played a few rounds at my friends house and the camo still didn't load.
Also the verify files for Steam doesn't work on many games that run through their own launchers that update them. Not sure on the specifics of exactly why, other than the updates don't come through Steam.
If you have full client and it's not a corrupted texture or connection I would suggest the technical issues area on the WT forum. They require game logs and other data for submitting a bug report, but they also tell you where to find the info. Back it up with some screenshots and you should make some progress there.
