If long distance, attempt to flank. If unable to, attempt to destroy gun and kill driver.
Generally that's the strategy I employ in RB.
But in AB I guess it'd be best to go for gunner > driver > crew/ammo. I suppose searching for where the ammo is on the vehicle would be whilst you're at it...
That's good to know, maybe I have have enough time left in this event to at least get the VFW now that I know that I don't have to fly a plane to fix it.
One shot to take them out, then you kill 2 more with a followup shot and you win.
Or, you know, some machinegun fire or arty.

For killing this, large caliber HE (105+mm) and lots of HMG's are really the way to go. if you must use AP, aim for the hull if you want a chance of doing any significant damage.
The VFW is basically the definition of a glass cannon, but doesn't have enough armor to let AP do anything meaningful to it unless it's a hull hit.
