French F4u-7 and its rockets

So it has 114 300MM rockets. How do these really perform in ground realistic battles?

Im relooking at going back to french tanks due to... well tjhey just look like a blast to play and since I like to have a CAS with me, was curious how these rockets perform and how the plane performs.

Its the only nation left to me that interests me sadly. It was this or Japan. French is better.

I don’t know what the damage is like against player controlled tanks. Since they’re HEAT rockets, they might not always be 1 hit kills.

But for the accuracy, French rockets are very accurate, if you get used to them.

Yea, the rockets are accurate, but they dont do alot of damage sadly. Gonna try with more explosive rockets.

The French Corsair is great for ground attack in tank rb. At only 6.0 br you get 114 very accurate rockets that can hull break things like M18's. They'll pen whatever they hit and with some practice you'll be able to get at least 2-3 kills and twice as many assists with them in only a few minutes of air time. For the recent event I was running 6.0 France and it was easy to have the top score every single game. Start with AMX-13, get 1 cap and a couple of spots or kill/assist and you can be in the air almost within 1 minute of the game starting.

Your biggest problem will be enemy aircraft because you lose quite a bit of performance with the rockets equipped. Unfortunately the rocket pods stay attached to the hard points even after you fire the rockets. Unless you get the drop on a unsuspecting plane with the 20mm's, I find that your best bet is to head on planes that are gunning for you and fire off a bunch of the rockets. They NEVER expect it, it only takes 1 to hit and with a little practice it's actually very easy to do since they travel very fast and straight.

Bottom line, it's a beast of an airplane.

Side note - Japan is also a really fun nation to play. I love their 4.7 lineup (Chi-To Late is a really great all-around tank) and their planes are amazing for ground rb. You can out turn absolutely everything in their Zero's or A7M1 and almost all dogfights in ground rb are low level which is where the majority of ♥♥♥ planes excel.

TL;DR - French Corsair is great and ♥♥♥♥ are fun to play as well
