I can't say anything about the T-10m, as I'm not even sure I've fought it in battle. Stat-wise it looks pretty good, but considering how rare it is I would guess it's at least unpopular, if not useless.
Yeah I saw a couple of T10m players in a match yesterday at 9.0. Certainly no issues dealing with them at that point, but it makes me think they suffer from having long reload, minimal penetration, and constant uptier.
T95E1 is a good sniper while the T10-M does better in CQC where he can use advantage of his stabilizer (pretty common at 8.3 btw...). However, the T-10M has slow reload, medium mobility, and its armor means nothing against HEAT and APFSDS (also considering there is ammo everywhere inside and it is pretty cramped)
Yeah I was pretty excited to see a stabilizer on a Russian 122mm cannon, but I'm not sure that it is a relevant cannon at 8.3 even with the improved round.
Yeah not that I have used the two, I can say for sure that the T10m is a substantially more fun tank to play.
The T95E1 is a completely unremarkable tank, and for some reason it literally cannot turn from a standstill unless you start reversing.
The T10m is great, nobody expects silly 122mm APHE at 9.0. In addition, the 122mm APDS is great for sniping, as the combination of scope and 1600 m/s muzzle velocity make it extremely easy to aim.
I've always wondered if this is a programming fault rather than by design, anyone know ?
It is without doubt the worst tank to turn, standing still it cant turn whatsoever.
Gaijin does not model regenerative steering. Many of the US tanks, especially later ones, use this form of steering to provide around twice as much torque as what is applied ingame to the wheels. This generally results in most of them not turning at all at a standstill, especially on hills.
Yeah I had a match on sands of Sinai in the short time I played it where I was in an engagement at about 1.8km with a TAM that just could not penetrate my armor for the life of him.
It's a nice tank, it really is, but not when you're are ALWAYS uptiered to a minimum of 8.7 (stabilised apfsds yay) or helicopters with atgms or whatever.
T10M is alright but the glory days are very much over, the IS7 is superior in my opinion (same BR), even though it doesn't have apds, heatfs or a stabiliser. If you are looking to fill up the glorious soviet 8.3 lineup I definitely recommend it, but don't expect anything exceptional from the tank alone.
I like the T10m for the stabilizer, but you're right. I have to play it like a like take, never get spotted, and always take the first shot.
And I'm certainly not spending $700 on an IS7 lol.
