How Many Torpedos does it take to sink a carrier?

I use the American M13/44 Torpedos, just wondering how many it would take to sink a Aircraft Carrier?

Not 100%, but I think it was 2. Been a very, very, VERY, long time sense I've tried to do that.

Not sure on what map, but sure there is a way to test.

Or someone who knows more than I do can reply to let ya know.

Depends on the torp size and the angle at which they hit the ship. I've taken 3 torps and lived in a light cruiser. not hitting key ammo compartments will keep you afloat.

2-3, 3 pretty much is guareteed, 2 might be for smaller ones.

Now that there's flooding, they might go down slowly even if they don't sink instantly. But I don't know whether they've actually extended naval damage model stuff to ships that don't have playable implementations.

Ok so I've fired the American M.13/44 Torpedo at a Japense Carrier and It 1 shotted it so maybe it is one?

I think the Japanese carriers are weaker than any other carrier in-game and only take one.

Hunting Japanese carriers experience, you just need one Torp. Can't say how it works for US carriers since I never run Torp planes on Axis side.

in real life it could take anywhere between 2 and 7

in that in real life there were carriers sunk with as little as 2 torpedoes and some that took as much as 7 before it went down

battleships are even crazier where the yamato took 14 torpedoes and as much as 17 american 100+ pounder bombs
