♥♥♥♥ they are.
1 day of playtesting shows how terrible it is. It as lazy of a gamemode as possible without any real additions. Just a carrot on a stick in form of the new amx-50, so people will go tryhard. ( which means more money for gaijin).
You know the idea of "ww2 mode" actually sounds exiting. Im thinking of big battles with twice the size of regular battles, cool new objectives that fit into the setting, something that actually promotes teamwork etc. Its a shame how it ended up, but also was totally predictable.
Turns out the guy posting this was right, it was really a flop..
Also, dont defend this company ( Or any company ) they only want the money.
As JC says : What a shame. :

Never sayd we needed to abandon it, as there is potential in that thing.
It was just a Sshow, A mix btween Rb and Ab wich completely ruined it for many people including me.
Not only that but this mess has been in the '' Works '' since 2012.
But 2 days is the first time it has been open to the public, which I think is the biggest factor.
But yes, it can be improved in multiple aspects. But I think “how bad” it is is exaggerated right now.
And if I am defending the quality of anything added within the last ~3 years, and defending Gaijin, I do mean it because that is very out of character of me if you know me. I think it’s still too early. 2 days have gone by. Maybe something will change in the next two days to make it slightly better. Maybe something considerable is in the works in two weeks. Maybe this could be a good gamemode in two months. Maybe this will be the best gamemode in the game, and many of us who lost faith in Gaijin will have it restored in two years. Maybe not. Open Beta Testing — provide criticismsc but saying everything is trash isn’t going to get anything done, none of us really have any idea if anything will change or not, and what and how it will if it does.
Well,Maybe.
Maybe.
But as the topic implied, yes.
It flopped at launch.
Some people dont like it and it has too many issues.
First, when the first trailer ever released it had a promise of being '' Realistic '', like a mix btween RB and SB. Instead we got the oposite, a Weirdo frankeinstein that mixes AB with RB even taking a awful step to add markers in.
Gamemodes dont really fit, Recycled maps, Unintuitive gamemodes.
Confusing Hud ( Blows 1/3 of the interested players out ), This clan only thing is really really stupid wich only makes the hud confusing to use.
Seriously gaijin?, the PZ - IV (E) can barely penetrate the bloody t34 how the hell am I supposed to play a '' Realistic '' match against russian vehicles wich have a way better gun, armor, speed if a marker completely neglects my ability to ambush any of those vehicles as they see me across the whole map.
Planes are Ok-ish, but soviet G-A planes are better than theyr german models.
Reward : Awful.
Development time : 2012.
Started downgrading when British groundforces were added.
Depends who you ask though. But I think the opinion of it slowly getting worse is consistent.
They add new stuff before even fixing the old ones, Remenber when the Br's got fixed? me neither.
Same reason for them "fixing" the penetrations - which goes against already existing penetration graphs from the nations themselves...
The issue is amplified the more nations they add. Before when Britain was added it was okay because there was only a handful, but now the player base is more divided increasing the time taken to find a game. Not only that but there are more nations which make it more difficult to balance tanks/aircraft and so on.
