How is the G8N1?
This is mainly for ground realistic battles, so how does it perform in bombinb tanks and taking fire?

It has a ton of cannon tuirrets but are they any good?

Looking at getting a second plane to run with my A7M2 and this one looks... decent. Jus getting opinions.

Filling up the rest of my line up with planesn ow.

I have it but I don't usually bomb tanks with it. You have the option of taking 250 kg x8 bombs or 800 kg x3 bombs if your going after tanks. But if its for tanks, you have to land pretty close to them if you want to destroy them, 5m for 250 kg or 18m for 850 kg. The 850 kg however is very forgivable though.

As for the cannons, it has three of them. One on the top, bottom and the tail of the plane, each of which have very good coverage. The cannons also have the Air Targets ammo selection which comes with HEF-T, FI and AP-I rounds. Meaning if you manage to hit someone with those, you have a good chance of burning them out or taking them down.

Edit: The survivability is soso. It can take some damage and even limp home if your lucky. But for the most part your a large and slow target. AA tend to not have problems hitting you, and enemy planes will certainly chase you down.

Tank RB is not the mode for it. With the repair cost and being an easy target for large-caliber AA you’re gonna have a bad time. Personally I prefer AB or air RB for it.

Cannons are good with the ammo belts unlocked, with manual control you can deal some damage at fighters at extreme range hopefully before they get their guns to bear.

Hmmm. This is concerning. I was looking for a secondary plane to go with my A7M2 or whatever the 5.3 plane with the rockets is. Bombers usualyl go well due to the spawn costs being different.

Bomber's remain at the low cost if you spawn in a fighter and vice versa. Well damn.

I keep forgetting you use ground rb.

Perhaps try the PYsomethingsomething, it is a 4.7 light bomber with a 800kg,
4.3 Bsomething attacker , which also has a 800kg and offensive 20mm cannons. That, or literally any of the medium/light bombers in the Japanese line, they are good with ground attack and fun to fly, I think the Ki-something before the 4 engined bombers at rank 4 is like 5.0 or so?

Anyways, I think very highly of Japanese bombers, if it has 1-2 engines, I recommend it. Not that the G8N and the previous heavy bomber are bad, it just is more of an air Battles aircraft.

Relating to “not good with Japanese designations”, the “I keep forgetting to use ground RB” was not at all a backup story to the fact that I actually was thinking you were talking about that Rank II Japanese medium bomber, which is fun af.

I dont like air battles. Ive never had. I'll take a look at the bomber you are talking about.

Ok both of them look nice, but, do they get the seperate SP costs?

So like, if you run a fighter from germany and run a bomber, both cost different. So like if you die in your fighter that fighter goes up to 1200 or so for a respawn if you have a back up while a bomber stays at 600.

I have to wonder if they get that seperated cost.

That B7A2 one looks really nice. Can dive bomb and go fighter... technically. Thats not bad.

Alright, so I just had my first game in my germans since I woke up.

If I run the FW 190 A-8 and the Stuka, both planes cost differently. Stuka was 600 and when I died, the FW stayed the same at 576!!!!

This bodes well for the japanese!

Taking heavy bombers in Tank RB is just asking to get shot at by tank cannons. The G8N1 is pretty nice for me in Air RB. It's bombload is quite bad, but the 20mm turrets shred everything. As for taking fire, I find the plane quite durable compared to other bombers like the B-17. I often can take a lot of hits and keep on going.
