Italian Tanks Tier 1 is a joke
everything on them sucks, mobility, penetration, engine, armor, the basic camo is so easy to spot.
was the italian tanks really necessary ?

-Some of the best turret armor at tier 1, being 60mm in places
-Extremely good explosive mass for 47mm shells
-Same ammo as German autocannons in tier 1 for the 20mms

Seems great to me
Funny thing is, the Italian reserves are better than most if not all italian 1.3 and 1.7 vehicles.

BR is always a trainwreck in new trees. Japanese and French tanks were the same.
The Japanese navy right now is especially nonsensical.

Get used to it.
Gaijin has probably put it into "Comming soon" fixing bin...
Italian reserve tanks are pretty good, miles better then French.
I've had no problem with them either.
Im glad i brought the premium 8.7 OF40(mtca), did all the italian tree up to 10.0 in 6 days, skipping all those low brs:)))
Don't you make fun of my tier one pasta bois, i love having a good turret early on

Yeah, the 1.7 Semovente is terrible and the M11/39 has no business being 1.3. The rest are quite good though.

I would suggest moving the Semovente to 1.3, making the M11/39 reserve, M13/40 III to 1.3 and it would be solved.

Its as high as 70mm actually. The reserve tanks are quite good. It's just the early TD's that are kind of meh. Excluding the L3CC, that thing can be really good in RB.
You obviously have never tried French tier 1. Even japanese tier 1 is better than the torture that is french tier 1

Yesterday, I managed to bounce a shell off of an I-Go with an Italian reserve. I think it's the lowest point of my War Thunder career.

Almost as low as my squadmate who got killed by the same one.

♥♥♥ armor can be trolly. I've bounced shots off my Chi-to before and it has rice paper armor. Its pretty funny.

The Ho-I has 50mm front armour and particularly the turret cheeks are pretty good and you're in a tank with only just over 50mm of penetration. Why is this surprising?

The Tier 1 Italian tanks are all garbage, especially the M11/39, but they are still capable tanks. The biggest thing I don't understand about them however is the M13/40 reserve tanks. The M13/40 (I) has nearly double the reload timer as the M13/40 (III) despite appearing to be exactly the same. They have the same cannon and machineguns, the same armor and engine, the same interior layout, the same number of crew and the same turret drives. The M13/40 (I) is also capable of holding 17 more cannon rounds than the (III) variant.

I tried searching around to see if there was an explanation but I never came across anything.
