OF-40 MTCA at 9.0

I'd like to know what everyone thinks of this tank at 9.0, is it any good and is it worth it? From comparing it to other 8.7 premiums I have really no idea why it's at 9.0.

I already have the M26 so I can get the Italian bundle a bit cheaper and I want the G.91 anyway, just unsure if the OF-40 is worth the extra cost.

Oh it's absolutely hilarious that it's a 9.0 when the T55-AM1 is at 8.7.

600mm pen rockets, APHEBC, and side armor at a lower BR. Yet the OF-40 can be oneshotted by a 3.7 Sherman.

AtGM are only good for helos, APFSDS is vastly superior and the T55AM has a pretty mediocre APFSDS round.
Armor means nothing at its BR.

Yeah, tell the poor players trying to range me at 2.2 km how bad ATGMs are. Like you said, armor means nothing at it's BR, and that's why my main shell is the APHEBC, it goes through the front hull of XM-1s, it pens Leopards anywhere, and unlike garbage can worthless APFSDS, it oneshots.

it will take about a second for an OF-40 MCTA to range you at that distance, another to fire an APFSDS round and cripple or kill a T-55AM-1 (it has a laser rangefinder, so ranging is fast and accurate)

As said by Mindstream, armour means sweet FA at the BR it's at, it doesn't get pulled in to top tier games anymore, it's fast with a good gun, has LRF and NVDs, only thing it's missing is thermals (like the Leo 1A1A1 L/44 or XM-1), it seems like it's a wonderful vehicle with the stats to back that up.

Comparing it to other 8.7s it doesn't seem well deserved to me. The Leopard L44 is only 5KMH slower with a better gun and ammunition and thermals, the AMX-30 Super is about 10KMH slower, again with a better round and thermals. Type 74G is also a bit slower (about on par with the Super) with the best APFSDS round of them all, again, 8.7.

It just seems weird to me that the OF-40 has gone up while the others haven't, but as long as it's good tank, and with top tiers going to 10.3 maybe it isn't such a big deal.

When it was 8.7 it was very fun to play with, it took me 8 days to grind all Italy tanks at that br, but at 9.0 no, skip it, not worth it...

Dont forget new top BR is 10.3. It wont be constantly uptiered like old 9.0.

Ive had a ton of fun with it at 8.7, but Ive only played a few matches with it at 9.0. But, I think since alot of top tier vehicles got moved to 10.3 (including adats, and tungus, which will shred he of40 for sure), it should still be a good premium. I'd get it.
