You can earn and buy warbond backups and also if he plays wise 1 tank should be enought for most matches.
Those 8.7 premiums are in a good place, most of the time go agaisnt 7.7s and even uptiered they can still fight 9.7s and the amount of silver and recearch points per match are awsome.
Stabilizers and apdsfs is all you need at those brs.
On 50% sale ($30), the T-55 looks worth it, but the MiG-15 definitely isn't. I'd say even the Meteor in the British bundle is better.
None of the packs are necessarily worth it for the full value, maybe the only one is the US one as you get the XM-1 and a 9.0 Sabre, but personally I am still waiting for just the UK/Japan tank packs to go on sale on their own.
