American 6.3 tanks = Worst experience I've ever had
Like seriously, playing American tanks has always been a pretty rough experience, but once I started getting into 6.0 and then 6.3 I've never had such a bad experience like this

except you cant avoid CQC on most maps, if every map was Sands of Sinai or Fulda or Maginot it would be a different story, APCR is useless trash as it looses all pen vs angles despite what the statcard says.
use apcbc
that bit of obvious info was not worth the room it took posting, nobody uses APCR and i said as much, what i want to know is why you load 12 rounds of APBC and APCR when there are much better uses for the explosive hotdog stand you've setup for yourself.

Try angling, it’s almost the same armour as the Tiger I, (in medium tank form at a higher BR). You can stop shells from uptiered tanks and enemy mediums. As for the T26, it takes long barreled 88s and stuff to penetrate it reliably, perhaps avoid CQC or something. The T26s I see die easily are always playing aggressive and trying to CQC, there is more than just CQC in WT you might know. Hull down, it needs a really big gun or APCR, and it’s hull is still pretty strong against most guns at 6.3.
except you cant avoid CQC on most maps, if every map was Sands of Sinai or Fulda or Maginot it would be a different story, APCR is useless trash as it looses all pen vs angles despite what the statcard says.
How do I put this politely?
*Literally all of German 5.3-7.0*: get nae-nae’d

Maps are a seperate issues, if they removed Arcade maps from realistic and Simulator, a lot of people would be happy. After all, there are infantry maps bigger than 1.35x1.35km, that is not a tank map, that is an arena.
But German vehicles in this range are all medium-long range vehicles, perhaps maybe the Ru-251, and the Panther A because it’s OP. So this isn’t a T26/America only issue, small maps plague most nations at many BRs.

"medium to long range"
Tiger II says hi, the Tiger is arguably easier to pen the farther it is because of shell lofting.

“Shell lofting?”
tl;dr a shell fired from far away needs to be angled upwards more and more the farther the target is, this causes the shell to impact at higher angle relative to a vertical surface the farther the target is. for an angled armor plate this means that the shell will come down more and more from the top then from a straight line of sight hit, effectively "unangling" the armor, from 1200 meters or more the Tiger II becomes a nonthreat to any tank with a T15E(x) canon due to this.

do you mean lobbing?
"Lofting is a drafting technique whereby curved lines are generated, to be used in plans for streamlined objects such as aircraft and boats."
like i see what you are tying to say but...

Anyways, how did we get here? I made a suggestion to use the T26E1-1 at medium/long range, and now we’re saying the Tiger is easier to penetrate at a distance?

Because at medium range its still nigh impossible unless you get super lucky and ram a shell under the turret or into the flatspot(s) on either side of the gun. for a tank that you almost always face its a terrible arrangement. long range is really the only way to face them.

Well, I should clarify, what do you call “medium range?” For Rank IV, I usually consider ‘medium range’ 600-1,200m, anything else is close range or CQC. While 1.2+ km is long range.

Medium range is about that yeah, 600 to 1200 or thereabouts, it gets consistent around 1400 and past that its a turkey shoot.
