How is one supposed to play the M60?

I've recently researched most of the M60's modifications, and while it's much better when not stock, it still seems awful in general. Even when I'm downtiered, I still feel like I'm at a disadvantage.

So what play style is one supposed to use with the M60?
As I see it, the M60 is bad at:
•Brawling (large, no armour, bouncy gun handling)
•Flanking (Average mobility, large)
•Hill cresting (Huge turret with no armour)
•Sniping (Huge size, optics zoom is a nice 8x but competition often gets better, although it does have a rangefinder, which helps)

To me it seems like the only good thing about the M60 is that its repair cost is only 5000 SL spaded

I get the same feeling when playing the magach 3 my tip is to peak out at some places and put some shots out and then pull back it usually works for me :)

But any tank can do that. The AMX-30's are even better at it because of their high-damage HEAT. Is there nothing the M60 is good at?
