Underrated planes - American Cobra series
I believe you have heard of the P-39 aircobra and P-63 kingcobra, both underplayed planes in AB with everyone playing the fame boys, such as the P-47 and P-51.

I believe, with my experience of air USA in AB, im qualified to speak about that.

You probably know the cobra planes as "that 37mm carrier no one plays", in this case, you're right. But little do people know, the 37mm is not the single thing making the cobra planes excellent.

They're cobras, with three main points to notice.

1.They have 37mm gun
2.They have a unconventional engine layout, with engine placed at the rear instead of directly behind the propeller
3.They have well rounded planes.

The cobras are the hidden jewel of the US plane line. They are above average in all capabilties. Here, let me list them.

Armament:
The fun of Yak-9T and you can blast planes with it, with 4x 12.7 (easily enough at the BR) as support guns.

Maneuverability:
The cobra series are among the most maneuverable planes in the US tier III, with good roll and turning rate. Easily turning fast enough to blast the planes with the 37mm.

Speed:
The Cobra does not have too impressive speed compared to its peers like the thunderbolt, but I've managed to dive at above 800 km/h without red speed limit. This makes it a faster diver than BF-109, Yak and Zeros.

Climb Rate:
The Cobra is a beast at climbing. 5000+ ft/m for P-63A-10. What else plane can you get that level of climb?

Weakness:
The Cobra does have its weakness, the 37mm can screw up 12.7 aiming by making the lead cursor further, and I don't like its sound (personal opinion). It also does not have M20 API-T tracer rounds. But how do I complain? I mean, at 4.0 BR, only the P-47 have this option!

the P63 is the only Tech Tree plane that can competitively climb with the OP109F/early G series, and the med-high altitudes engine and turn performance can totally obliterate them in a 1v1 scenario.
I like them, they are pretty good planes. I bought the King Cobra prem on the market and dont regret it one bit

I actually hate the cobras in AB but I love them in RB. With AB having the two different gun types with vastly different velocities is just a pain and I'd rather just annihilate anything that I can see with either 8 fiddies with late war belts from the P-47 or 4 20s from a P-61, meanwhile with the P-63 its either I'm going to be shooting the enemy with a slow firing and slow traveling 37 when they can just dodge it easy or shooting them with just 4 fiddies with early war belts.

Meanwhile in air RB enemies can't dodge so easy, and the P-63 climbs really good for a US plane, the fiddies are good for shooting at longer ranges and then the 37 is great for kill shots in reversals or deleting a tail when you get close, or even just a few sprayed at a guy before dodging out of a headon.
