Pr 1204 (late) - What? How? *Confused screaming*
So there is this boat. It has a tank gun in front that becomes useless when the waves are even a little bit stronger since you can not keep it on target then. Also it has a extremely slow fire rate and does no considerable damage to anything (not even with AP).

It has a dual 25mm mount on the rear that takes biblical ages to reload, does no damage as well, and sadly is so far from the ships center that you can't just peek it around the corner since you do not have a proper gunners view. Also its fire rate and shell drop reminds me of a ten-year old throwing rocks.

Then it has a quadruple grenade launcher. I have no idea how to aim it or what to do with it and it seems utterly pointless. The decision to include it probably involved a lot of vodka.

The "Armor" stops nothing and feels like the devs accounted for dozens of layers of the crews pin-up girl posters. If there were any crew to speak of.

How do you find success in this thing? I would have accepted it at 2.0 BR but not 2.7, what is its secret?

Okay after a bit of testing, here are my experiences with the Plamya grenade launcher:

It was designed to be a close range anti-ship weapon, as shown by the relatively high fire rate and short range (seems to be fixed at around 750m).
However since it is designated as an AA mount it somehow becomes broken.
  • It will not attack ships on its own
  • It will not attack ships when designated to do so (tried in test sail with static boat)
  • It will try to attack planes which it can never hit due to its very limited elevation
  • When aiming manually it can sometimes be fired
  • It can not be manually fired when a target is selected (How did they mess this up?)

Does anyone else have any idea what to do with it or is it just pointless?

As with most similar designs, 25mm is your main weapon. Only use the larger caliber a) when you're close enough for AI to consistently hit the target with 25mm while you're using the 76, b) against bigger targets. As for grenade launchers, they do fire automatically at boats, but only from super close range.

It's generally not as good as some of the 'less advanced' river boats IMO, but Curst has the right of it: use the 'AA' automatic weapons.

I do that, because it is the only weapon you can actually use reasonably well. Got the rocket launcher; Not worth it. Slow turning, hard to aim and expensive to use.

I will just grind it out and then never touch this broken abomination again.
