China flag

Why the China flag looks like the actual flag and not the old one like we see with the URSS flag instead of the Russia flag? Can I use the Hong Kong or Taiwan flags instead?

Gaijin apparently either got paid off or was too afraid to put the KMT/Taiwanese flag on the vehicles (even the ones with the KMT emblem on them...) so now we are apparently stuck with them. I could understand having the main "country flag" on the bottom where you select your country as the PRC flag because the majority of the vehicles are those and they are the "official China", but not giving the vehicles the correct flags on the statcards is scummy to me (and apparently Taiwanese news that commented on it).
Just take a look at Germany and you will see tons of different flags, but apparently not for China....

There is a Taiwanese flag you can buy. It's called "Republic of China", there's also three ROC roundels you can buy/unlock too.

Yes, but I was talking about the statcards and nation flag, not placeable emblems.

My question was about the nation's flag, just as the imperial flag is used for Japan, the fascist flag for Italy, the Nazi flag for Germany, the USSR flag for Russia ... why only China has a flag that only came into existence after WW2 was over (1949 to be exact)? From what I've read about China's participation in the war, the flag should be the another one.

see dude, they wanted to attract chinese players, to attract these players they have things they cannot do...like portrating kmt because in china there is only one china to be accepted. It would be counter productive to have the game banned in china just because they wanted to be historically realistic. And thats the reason they even added a faction whose most of the tree is made of american and russian vehicles, to get more money by attracting the chinese since they also play a lot this game.

most of the unique chinese vehicles were already added in the chinese client

but still it doesnt matter, they have a policy which they can cut diplomatic relations if a country recognize taiwan or republic of china as a country and that serves to any businesses as well. An example was when hearts of iron 4 was banned in china because of political reasons, maybe the fact that there were more than one china.

The point is, gaijin only shows the main flag because they dont want to get banned there.

China will be upset if they don't use the dirty commie flag. Just look how their glorious leader Xi Jinpong banned Winnie the Pooh images because Pooh looks like him, and therefore tarnishes China's image.

I understand what you said but to me it's a shame. It's okay for Gaijin to allow this in the "Communist Party of China version" that the Chinese are forced to swallow but doing the same for the version we play is lamentable.

they already do that with everyone not only us wt players or else taiwan would already be independent and recognized as an independent country im the world, same as tibet and mongolia i guess.If you want to know more read about one chine policy. Even us doesnt recognize taiwan or republic of china as that would bring problems to u.s diplomacy with china. Thats not even communism anymore is just the same ol projection of power and international politics in play.

But you do realize they have their own Chinese version of the game, correct? Unless they added Chinese players into our version of the game without telling us, there is no reason for us to cater to the Chinese government to the point where Gaijin refuses to give us the correct stat card flags on KMT vehicles that have KMT emblems on them.

Unless they added Chinese players into our version of the game without telling us, there is no reason for us to cater to the Chinese government to the point where Gaijin refuses to give us the correct stat card flags on KMT vehicles that have KMT emblems on them.

they wouldnt care. if the company has any verson of the game with the other flags in them even if that verson isnt sold in china then the whole game is banned in china.
