Radar broken on CL-13
I saw videos about these tracking radars. I wanted to try it with my CL-13 Mk5, but it didn't work. Half of the buttons weren't even assigned, but after I set them up, they still do ♥♥♥♥ all. E.g. the lock on target button turns the radar off, the little lightning icon disappears if I press it, while the actual "radar on-off" button does nothing. The only buttons working are the lock on target which works as on-off and thr one that changes how the radar looks.

How to make the lead indicator appear? Tried it in RB test flight, didn't work.

Radar does not provide a lead indicator for all aircraft that has it.

CL-13 doesn't have that kind of tracking/leading radar. It's simulating the radar guided gunsight, so it only works in cockpit view.

Actually the radio range finder doesnt work at all
Even in sim or cockpit view, unless gaijin fixed it with a hotfix i didnt notice, its still not working for aircraft that have them.

Then what's the use of the radar in that plane? It's "line of sight" is 18 degrees only in the front and only for a max distance of 3 km. The plane has no air to air guided missiles at all. I can't see the reason for it having a radar since it's literally useless.

Radar guided gunsight, like I said. It basically "tracks" the target to make aiming easier, while the MiG-15 had stationary WW2 style gyrosights. I don't know for sure if it's working or not in-game as I rarely fly the Sabres, but that's what the "radar" is for.

its a range finder, it was huge in terms of IRL Advancement because it meant that pilots could get an accurate lead solution on their targets with their gyroscopic gun sights without all the guesswork that used to be involved. for simulator players having a working radio rangefinder and useable gyrosights for that matter on aircraft that had them would be an amazing improvement.

As it is the gyro gunsights are at least somewhat working, but I don't know whether they're actually responsive to the rangefinder or settable at all...and regardless it's not worth much outside SB because the benefits of the gyro sight aren't nearly as big as of the third-person camera.

Err... yes, it does. But since it's useless, it's more like a decoration thing instead of something useful. :D

Some people seem to draw a really sharp distinction between a 'radar' and a 'radio rangefinder'.
