Once you unlock upgraded MGs and cannons, the gun jam time increases. Also, if you put crew experience into the 'Weapon Maintenance' category, you can increase the time you have until a gun jam as well.

You have almost a 1000 hrs in War Thunder and don't know that guns can jam within a certain time?

Seems like you have never played realistic battles before, and are now surprised that guns actually jam when you keep your finger on the trigger for an hour non-stop.

It really isn't that bad if you are not one of these guys that constantly spray. You should not spray anyway, as you only have limited ammo in realistic battles. So get used to accurate, short bursts.

I've seen Lv100 players with 90+ days in fighters in AB, and nothing else. Recently as last night.

1. I'm not overexaggarating, this genuinely happened after I fired 2 rounds, hence my assumption that it is a bug.

2. Based on what did you conclude that I'm a "whiny arcadeplayer"? Besides from the Assault gamemode, I haven't played a single arcade battle since 2015.

It depends plane to plane. My F8F (the one with the cannons) has really short jam time and I thought it was bugged at times because my guns would be jammed before I even fired (a bug from a long time ago) but the point is some planes have very short jam times so you have to be careful.

It's not called Gun Jam time, it's called Gun Overheating.
Upgrading weapons and increasing crew levels increases the time it takes to overheat.
Sometimes its dependant on both calibers and RPM.

The mossy is the most jammy of all planes. Try that one and you'll love your g2 guns.

The only guns that overheat in 1 second is probably the stock F-86F-2 or Hunter F1 guns...

Perhaps you just fired a long burst and the guns where still hot otherwise its definitly a bug
