My game clocks in at over 50GB, but that's with user skins. Without them you're probably looking at 30GBs.

12GB probably: people are that high because Gaijin sometimes replace some old models as well as engine and mechanic but they cannot erase [you can see this in the folder Obsolete among others]. Also I have 120kb/s and yet I downloaded from scratches and played the game. You can try downloading the game somewhere where the internet speed is faster too [a Cyber-Café maybe?]

I have terrible Internet that takes days to download anything big, but I still think the game is worth it. The base game really isn't all that big. Mine is huge because I have 100s of user skins, outdated patches, etc etc. Without all that it's probably gonna be around 20GBs, maybe less. Just leave your PC on over night and let it download. I'm downloading World of Tanks overnight right now :)

the initial download is actually something between 15-16gb.

ofc the size of the game folder will vary when people install additional skins, mods, custom missions, the CDK etc etc. also screenshots, game logs and some old (outdated) files will rise the size over time.

if you want to have a sneak peek you may actually download the installer from the warthunder.com website and once the launcher has been installed and is starting to download the game you may switch to the minimal client by unticking the 'full client' option.

like this only the really necessary (core) game files are being downloaded - should be something around 5gb (only ^^)... some features wont be available and you may not be able to see the full beauty of this game 8D but you can play and maybe later on switch to the full client.

Don't take it too serious. It's pure suffering if you do. Don't focus on grinding and you'll have fun.

Excellent advice. Don't get this game just to get to the top of the line vehicles. That's the wrong mindset to have. Take your time and enjoy the journey. You're gonna die...a lot and in every BS way imaginable.
