What to do against someone who has altitude advantage?
just wondering. I play german planes and like to hit and run people from above but what can i do against faster climbers plz.

Always someone is in a faster climber and i sometimes die to them before i can do get high enough to do hit and run style stuff.

I use to keep climbing but when i see hes moving on my way i dive and try to make him lose energy until the point to be able to attack him when his climbing again, is that the moment hes more vulnerable and even if he starts diving after a loop tryng to scape dont follow him until u have a great opportunity to kill him when hes tryn to climb.

I'm sorry, you're not very specific in the plane's you're flying out or how you fly them at all. If you're not sure on a lot of things, there are plenty of youtubers in the WT community who're a great help e.g. TheOrangeDoom (He's a bit up himself, but he knows how the game works and goes into great detail) Trash ones to avoid who just scream into the microphone and don't provide any helpful tips/commentary Phlydaily, BaronVonGamez and Slickbee the worst of them all, always crying about something or another, hell just watch a stream of his and you'll blow your brains out by the end of it. Oh I also forgot another great one, MikeGoesBoom. He does a good segment covering the vehicle and how to defeat and play it.

LOL they are the problem of WT community in my opinion.

"Phlydaily, BaronVonGamez and Slickbee" These three you mean, right?

Yes those three and i like Entak cuz he has some good tutorials and i also recommend a german guy who makes WT SB videos and tutorials , Der Sheriff, GrmlZGaming which in my opinion has the best tutorials for SB and also Cpt Toastman, all great.

If you are in Realistic, then you should try to move away from him while gaining altitude without him spotting you. If he begins to dive on you, then dive down until you gain some energy, then pull up and go into a vertical head on with your opponent, try to surprise them. Even if your enemy remains untouched, this means you are now the one with the height advantage, so begin to climb so as to keep that advantage. This manouver will usually if executed correctly flip who has the height advantage. Although try not to collide with your opponent during the vertical head on, that usually ends badly no mater who has a height advantage :)

Peritum has made a good point here, if someone is above you, just keep around 5km's distance, even at later tiers around T4 like 6.3br people are still rash and try get into fights and drop altitude because no one is above them, I don't understand that mindset, but hey if it works for them whatever I guess. Then again, I know plenty of players who think ground pounding in a fighter makes more profit than getting 4 kills... My Avg SL (Silver Lions) per match in RB is around 80k-110k and 7k RP this is with a premium account.
Well, getting 4 kills in Air RB is hard, and while yeah it makes you a ton of lions, ground pounding is much easier I guess. Also ground pounding is a great way to grind modifications for stock aircraft like the F7F-1 or Tempest Mk V.

If you want to grind aircraft, you've got arcade for that exact reason.
lol, that's what I do :P

It all comes to your plane performance according to your ennemies one:

If your plane can sustain high speeds such as US ones, then dive so he will surely have altitude advantage but you will be forcing him to stop and raising your chances to make him rip-off his wings.

Else, turn in circle so he misses AND looses energy while trging to keep moving with you, however you shouldn't do it in flying bricks or potatoes but rather on flying-sliks

I think what you're talking about is a boom & zoom. If I recall, the idea is to start well above your target, build a lot of speed on the way down and hit them from above during the drop, pulling out while still above them to maintain your height advantage, climbing at a moderate angle that maintains your speed advantage as you climb away for the next pass. You do not drop to their altitude or slow down during the pass. You do not try to turn with them. In this way you keep them at a disadvantage and force them to continuously climb into you while you swing back and forth using your descent to build energy for your ascent and escape. The major downside is that you have a very small window of opportunity to hit your target. I don't know if this applies to WT or not but thats how it works in the flight sim that I flew in.
