at least one cannot say that the community isn't creative hehe
...but on a more serious note - maybe you should replace your free noname av software with a proper one (or learn about the detection routines and how they work ;)
lmao u should trust a company but if they gonna stuff like this meh ..
a) because many players that only play the game occasionally have complained about everytime they want to have a quick game the launcher first needs to update the game (which takes quite a time for some) - with the updater running they will pretty much always have an up-to-date game and hop into action right away
b) most likely the updater will not only keep War Thunder up-to-date but other games distributed by Gaijin as well (e.g. Crossout, Star Conflict, Enlisted, Crossout...) - if not now then maybe in the future.
- just some ideas though ^^ not officially confirmed ofc -
yes... but since it's more easy to just disable it (launcher -> launcher settings (wrench icon in the top right corner) -> uncheck 'auto updates') there is no need to remove it. (it will get re-installed on the next launcher update anyway)
why should they ? people are voicing their opinions and concerns but dont violate any rules - there is no need for mods to be present... (oh and i guess some of them also got better things to do around christmas ^^ you know, family stuff and such crazy things 8D)
using Avast myself... all good...
the worst thing i can possibly think of is that while you are playing the game it's starting the launcher because there is a new game update available - now usually when the launcher is updating the game it will automatically close the game client ^^
might be a 'tad' inconvenient if this happens 8D though i dont know if this actually happens or if there are any 'checks' implemented to prevent this from happening (maybe you'll get a notification in-game instead... who knows)
Please do not spread misinformation regarding this topic (Gaijinnet Agent), thank you.
