How many meters is one square on the minimap?
How many meters is one square on the minimap?

I need to know it, or I won't be able to use the tank sight properly.

When you bring up your tanks aiming reticle there will be a large crosshair overlay with distances marked at 200m intervals in the vertical. Bind a button to rangefinding which will give you an idea of range and then adjust aim and fire. It takes practice but after a litle bit the rangefinding step will not be necessary in alot of situations. You need to be familiar with the balistic characteristics of your tanks gun to get really good with it. Some guns feel like your lobbing rounds downrange others are like rail guns straight and true.

Can you show a video or something? I don't get it.

PS: I am talking about RB battles.

As far as I understand it, the numbers left and down are meters, i.e 4 is 400 meters 8 is 800 meters etc, but as I've said, without shooting to guess the distance, I won't be able to figure out how far the target is actually away.

I want to avoid to reveal my position, so I thought there is some type of formula without giving a shot.

Seems like too much maths.

I believe it is enough to just guess the distance. Say: You see an enemy tank, you guess the distance oriented on a house or your gut feeling, then aim in using the meters on your sight.

Formula is interesting, but knowing each tanks measures, is just ridiculous. I am not that good, and I can only guess.

Once you've played enough you will be able to judge the range pretty well. For example, the two hills that overlook B flag/the town in the center of the map on Kursk are roughly 1700 meters away from each other.

Good to know.
Man I've been asking this question for months, deleting and reposting it 4 times already and no one ever responded. At least someone else asked and got some responses.

I see a few people mentioning that the grid changes per map, it does, but I still think you can tell. The fact the grid changes with each map, getting smaller/more squares on large maps and bigger/less squares on smaller maps tells me that they are scaling with each map. I don't know what each one is, but I think there is a standard measurement for each square on the grid.

The plane radar rings have a measurement, I think the tank grid has one too. I just need to test it somehow.

I personally always orientate on squares, and I feel like they always are between 150 and 200 meters each.
