seriously the gun depression is so bad i can't even exploit having a height advantage overlooking my enemies i litterally have to go down a hill to shoot at them which by then i'm dead. :(

drive, aim good, shoot, get kill, repeat.

Because of the reload speed, you need to play it as a defensive shoot and scoot. Pop out of cover, take your shot, dart back into cover and reload, then pop out again. I usually stay in one or two spots the entire game as it's really not a tank you can push with.

As for dealing with hills, try reversing up onto the hill, taking your shot, and then driving back into cover. You shouldn't be cresting hills unless you know there's only one enemy and he's not looking at you. If there isn't a hill behind you, change position or hold tight until the enemy crests and gives you a shot at their underside.

Medium range peek and shoot. You want to stick to even or lower ground due to that gun depression. The long reload means making the first shot is key and to find cover the second you fire. The advantage it has is the fast reverse speed of about -16km/h. Once you fire, stick it in reverse and back off.

You want to be with others as well because if you fail to make a decent penetration, it can be the end for you. The armor is meh (unless using the 1944 model where it is a bit better) so do NOT try to use this as normal heavy and brawl as a frontal penetration will either result in an ammo racking, fire, or crew wipe.

Watch the enemy, wait for the right time to pop out and make the shot, back off after you fire (regardless of what happens) and do NOT go out on your own or try to brawl. It's not easy to use, but once you master it and are able to make good shots, it can make for an excellent heavy tank killer for your team.

Streets are your best friend, try to find level ground while having lots of cover while you reload. Keep your allies close in case ther are flankers. Peek fast, shoot faster than the enemies, scout out your targets while waiting for your shot to load.

If you're having trouble with GD with the is2, you'll have even more problems with the t44.

As bush said, pop out and shoot and always have others backing you up if you're close to the enemy.

Once you shoot, if they're competant, they'll charge at you.

the gun despression is tolerable in the T44, what i don't like about it is that the gun sways way too much when i stop making snap shots impossible

Nah, you don't. Just play the T44-100, ASU-85, Su-100. Those tanks will help you through the horrid tier IV of Soviet.

Tier V, there is ZSU-57-2 and IT-1 are waiting for you.

The mod 44 get uptiered so often that it feels like playing a crappy menium, regardless of the better sloping
