Mk 108 only use air or universal or if you are good stealth, in other words to my knowlege night is brighter
i say only use air or universal because they do the most damage

It's just minengeschoss, the (night tracer) sidenote after them means nothing.

The "Night" belt is almost pure minengeschoss, plus one incendiary. It's definitely the highest damage belt available.

well all the air universal and night belt are the same i was just wondering if the night part added more tracer and less HE in my shells

it's HEI-T so it's not going to make a difference if it's a tracer or not.

The "tracers are magically weaker" myth needs to die.

Tracer belts for most guns are weaker

i thought tracers where always weaker as the stuff that cuases the tracer takes some space inside the bullet resulting in less HE

irl the only functional difference is that tracers create more heat in the weapon and are slightly incendiary

Only in a few belts. A tracer is the same as a regular round, ap tracer is the same as ap, etc.

It's eaither at the base or the tip; there's plenty of room for HE.

Most common place for the tracer is on the back of the round. Most common was usually a base of magnesium to burn nice and bright, with whatever the nation decides to mix in to change the colour (so a barium mix can make a green light for example). Somewhat like how you would change colours in fireworks.

The amount is usually not very much (enough to give a good idea to where your rounds are roughly going), but leaves plenty of space inside the shell (asuming you are using cannon shells) for whatever filler you need.
