Ki-100-II.... A7m2......ki-44-II-hei.......Great planes'''
These are for me the best japanese planes...in the br 4-0 area...

The Ki 100-II is a premium plane and its worth it, as most of the japanes premiums are.
Cheap to run, smart and underestimated......turns like a boss at right energy, you can take on three and win....or try''' the regular ki100 is fun too but having two of them is great...

The A7m2 for ages and ages i just could not work this plane out and had the most rotten luck, now i regard it a probably the best japanes long wing plane..pound for pound.its a perfect bnz machine..with lots of ammo...

Ki-44-II-hei.. Now when you fly this plane you will be seen as easy meat..but you do have 4 guns with 1000,rounds between, with a 1.97 output not bad...not the best turner but boy your fast and can climb.verywell..for a br-2,0 ..get high n keep fast-ive taken on 5.7 germans and spitfires and died very well..taking a few scalps on the way...its great to see a whole martian navy coming for ya'''''

what japanes planes do you like..why..
what planes do you like..why..whats that bit they got...

You mean the Ki-44 Shoki? There's no such thing as a "Ki-42".

I like the Ki-44s, Ki-43s, A6Ms, Ki-61s, Ki-100s and the A7Ms.

J2M2 its the backbone against fast BnZ planes and can help your team to get out of stinky situations its also more an elevator than a plane. Take wingman with you and kill everything ;)

The Ki-43-III is undoubtedly the best Japanese plane at 4.0. It's like flying an arcade plane in RB, it's almost as quick as a thunderbolt and will outclimb it (seriously I feel like people are blinded by this things turn rate and ignore its absurd rate of climb). It has nose mounted 20mm cannons with 150 rounds EACH as opposed to the Zeros 60rpg. Not to mention it's a very very small target.

Its only real weak points are bad energy retention (because it weighs as much as a leaf) and poor survivability. These are barely weak points though. A good thunderbolt pilot will be able to abuse your poor energy retention maybe... but how often does one of those come along?

I've been trying to break into RB and I've been using Japanese planes since they don't easily break wings.

My go-to plane is the Ki-44-II. I love it in RB because it climbs and dives fast and seems to retain enough of its energy to where I don't typically get caught out without speed. It'll climb fast without WEP once it's high enough. It'll climb with WEP and won't over-heat once it's over 4K in altitude. It's guns aren't strong but can be very accurate since they're nose-mounted. Also, it carries enough ammo to get me at least three kills before I've to land (I'm still getting used to aiming in RB). I like the fact that in RB, the -44-II is ate BR 3.7, so I won't get matched up with extremely good planes. I typically see P-63s, P-40s, P-51s, and P-38s. I never have a problem getting my kills and don't typically get shot down in this plane. The only problems I have are in making my ammo last and landing on carriers (I crash every time).

I've also flown the Ki-61s (2.3 BR), solely for the massive amounts of ammo they carry, but they don't climb well.

In AB, I use the A7M2, both the Ki-100s, and now the Ki-84 (ko). The A7M2 is nasty, in a very good way. It's my favorite. The Ki-100s are less so, because they aren't fast...if you're not careful, you can get run down. Same with the Ki-84, but the Ki-84 can turn very well.

I refuse to go above BR 5.0 with Japan, though. Their planes are already doused in gasoline awaiting to catch fire...no need to welcome slaughter by going above BR 5.0, IMO.

I don't care how old this post is.

Did the last person to reply say that they are using japanese planes because their wings are LEAST likely to break?

Isn't the opposite true? I love japanese planes, but structural resilience is not one of their notable attributes.
