It depends on the tank really. Maybe I've had a worse experience since I only play the UK and generally they're not very tough. I know historically the Germans used their AA as anti-tank so it's nice to have it in from an historical viewpoint. I don't really mind if they're nerfed or not. But I think they're probably punching a bit above their weight level currently.
Make more than 10 kills on a Sherman or any tank which is not german and then you have the right to say that I suck at playing.
Intelligence Bulletin, Febuary 1943 - warning commanders of the potential risks of engaging 20mm Anti-Aircraft Batteries. It specifically points out that the battery can cause problems for even Heavy Armor.
Furthermore - 2 cm KwK 38 L/55 was commonly equipped to vehicles like the Schwerer Panzerspähwagen (Puma) which used it's speed and the weapons high rate of fire to gain flanking shots on tank's weaker armor through out the war.
The 37mm Flak18 cannons, like that mounted on the Ostwind, where used as Anti-Tank through out the war - and the JU 87G mounted 2 of these cannons in underwing gunpods which was used extensively as close air anti-tank in eastern front.

Same gun that is mounted on the Ostwind... destroying Soviet T-34 tanks...
Depends on the ammo type being used, if its solid shot then yes its going to do some damage.
Not to mention that it is almost impossible to 1 shot people in the thing... you usually plaster them with a good 100 plus rounds before you kill pretty much any tank out there...
Probably had the anti air HE round loaded for planes thinking you'd crumple because the tank is an open top TD.
Surprisingly, The m36 actually has some tough skin on it... more so then people give it credit for. So shrugging off shots in one isn't too out of character for the tank, even if it was AP shot... just not something you expect.
Yes you can kill those tanks but it's nowhere as bad as OP makes it sound like.
Plus if you run into something like KV-1 then you are dead, plain and simple.
