I mean there have been ports of other PS3 games already to Switch. You had LA Noire remastered (for current gen systems) appear on Switch along with Skyrim special edition. You also had a port of Bayonetta and the Switch version honestly runs better than the PS3 version ever did.
Hell it received a port of DOOM 2016. It's also getting Wolfenstein 2. And Dark Souls remastered is also coming to Switch. If a 2016 game can be ported to Switch, 2012's Birds of Steel should certainly be possible.
I'm scared if so.
What's a toaster? What's a Wii?
JIMMY! WHAT'S A TOASTER?
No, I don't think you realize that this is most likely satirical. Yes, it could run it but so could a PS1 (Most likely at least, a potato PC could). Fact is that it'd not be that fun as you won't be able to bind something like rangefinder or stablizer to a button nor would you be able to control throttle with precision (same applies to general flight). Also, what about looking around? All you have to do is press C and then you can look around, near instantly. With switch you'd have to wait 0.5-1 second for it to gimble over.
Not to mention that it'd also cost more than they would make from it, thus it'd be as pointless as going to watch a Hollywood movie
That's at least from my limited knowledge. I don't own one nor intend to own one because PC master race.
Only question would be how much would it cost to port it over, its already on console identical button load outs all they nee to do is port of the xbox and ps4 version to it.
The real hard part is in fact getting Nintendo to allow cross play on it, that is the hardest bit. It wouldn't cost that much to port it, just all for not if they can't get Nintendo to sign off for cross play. That is the main hurdle right now with Microsoft they are trying to make a 4k port for it right now but I bet Micrsoft is not making it easy for them right now, and most important thing is it needs crossplay like PS4 or its dead in the water.
But personally its my fave console yet also least used because every one is scared to port to it. Now I just use it as mobile Hulu player saddly, great little thing nice to go and visit friends and family and use their dock to run my stuff, just so little to pick from minus indy games...
Think about the complexity though, and thanks to Nintendo being "For the kids!" I doubt they would let it on it. Doom got on along with other gory games but I'd suspect they gave Nintendo a bribe or Nintendo saw how much it'd make them.
Even if it did, think about the profit Nintendo Switch likely didn't sell as much as the PS4 or Xbox 1. Yes, mobility means you can play on the go but even then the screen would be to small and it'd make it difficult to see where you're going and what you're shooting at.
I conclude that it is possible, but highly unlikely. I think there was something on the offical channel where someone asked it, though I'm not sure.
I am not saying it would be a number one hit, or that its a grand idea, just its mroe then possible, and many adults do own it. It does despratly need games still waiting for it to finally get mario party, or smash brothers on it seems so wierd for a Nintedo console to wait so long to even put Mario on the damn thing suprised we even got Mario Cart to be honest. But they did sell like hot cakes last year in Japan its why some people are making games for it now, Splatoon saved the damn things life over seas, its why they finally opted in for putting a Pokemon on the thing, til lthen half their franchises were like "I don't know we lost money on Wii U..."
That's not the point. Re-read it. I was pointing out that Doom was ported along with other games with gore.
The game is pegi 12. I doubt they would let such a game on, if they do it won't be on the front page of their market any time soon.
I added more it has Skyrim that is more violent they don't seem to have an issue with violence of late, they have more of an issue with scarring devolopers away since Wii U was so horrible any one who made games for that took a bath on it. And Wii bearly made any profit at all.
That is the real issue though companies are scared to make a port and sell physical copies becuase the last console they made had such bad sales on it. I mean they had COD and what not on the Wii but I am not sure if it made any profit at all for them...
