So my name was changed...

My name earlier today was LSD_Kat

Now it's Renamed81482

I don't understand why my name was changed
It's nothing offensive
It's my name pretty much everywhere

LSD stands for Last Sun Down and Kat is just my name

Now apparently I have to pay to change it which I definitely am not doing because this random change was not my choice

I don't think this is fair at all

Well there goes potentially thousands of common words and names that are now reason for forcename changes.
Molly, crystal, Adam, Angel, Candy, Cloud/Cloud nine, Magic etc. Could write a massive list, but a few 'common' words like above can be misconstrued to be about drugs when theyre just a persons name or commonly used part of a ign.

Forcing someone to pay instead of a free rename is just a cheap tactic. Now if someone picks something so blatantly offensive i can understand. But so many things can be found offensive by small groups of people, or just someone who wants to be an ass because a certain player maybe owned them over and over and they can twist some way to find offence at that persons name as payback.

Look at the real life WW2 pilot Richard Bong as an example, Nicknamed '♥♥♥♥ Bong'. Medal of Honor recipient/P-38 pilot. You couldnt use his nickname or real name without someone complaining, even though its not only legitimate, but also topical considering what War thunder is actually about. Swearing/Curse word (♥♥♥♥) and drug reference (Bong).

Certain cases should get a free rename. Like OP and anyone that has lost a name that is overall fine but someone found offence. Other names like raicial/homophobic and just plain offensive, Sure, make them pay for a rename or in some cases ban.

Ive seen plenty of names i couldve complained about just due to having a way to find them offensive, but they are overall fine. You can find offence in nearly anything.

Ya, most people are going to think of the drug (Lysergic acid diethylamide) first, not Last Sun Down. Being a common drug refrence is probably why it was changed. Keep in mind the game is rated T (ESRB) and 12 (PEGI).

2.1. Nicknames.

"It is forbidden to use nicknames that contain, use or describe any:

2.1.3. Words, phrases and idioms related to psychotropic or narcotic substances and their use.

You probalby never ment it to be said refrence, but it is the common one when somebody says or hears "LSD".

I would have been fine with it if I would have been atleast given a warning message or an explanation message explaining why I need to change my name

But like
The fact that now I have to pay to change my name to something that isn't Renamed[a buncha numbers] is pretty unfair tbh

you get one rename free... unless you used it to change to the drug reference in the first place, how has this not come up before if you use it elsware? i dont even know what 'last sun down' is supposed to reference but i sure as hell know what LSD is

You could try support and explain exactly what happen. This might be one of the rare times they will change your name for you.
