What rockets should i use on my IL-2?

RS are better, RBS are just useless AP rockets.

I believe RS just have HE warheads while RSB have APHE warheads.

so the RS will deal more damage to bases and be more effective at taking out ground targets like AAA, Machine guns, and Armored Cars with it's larger larger splash radius, while RSB will more effectively take out Tanks and Bunkers but will deal less damage to bases and will require near direct hits because of it's lower splash radius.

Honestly - test out both and see which one you're more effective with.

After doing some testing i can confirm this, both the RBS-82 and RBS-132 can be used against tanks in tank battles, the RBS-82 will be almost useless after tier 2, but RBS-132 can take out higher tiered tanks if you hit them from above, aim for the weakest armor and these can take out tanks, the RS rockets are almost useless against the tanks, better vs soft targets or planes (as the RS rockets can have a set distance when they will explode, useful for indirect explosive to kill/damage planes).

AP rockets don't actually penetrate armor at all.

I've hit straight down into the top of light tanks with the Japanese AP rockets and it nonpenned.
