how to change supercharger gear?

ive assigned a button to change from auto engine to manual engine and ive also assinged a button to change supercharger gear yet everytime i try it says no supercharger control im not sure what cuases this im currently using a fw 190 d13 i was thinking maybe it doesnt have a supercharger but i found out it does so what am i doing wrong?

Hey here are two tutorials for manual engine controls both are good which keys you choose is up two you but the choices are well elaborated. Keep in mind if you use manual engine control you can kill your engine easily in some planes (proppitch). If you use auto control the supercharger will switch automaticly. I highly recommend to learn mec you will get a much better performance and can save your plane if your engine is damaged but sometimes its wiser to switch to auto. For example if you dog fighting with somebody from 5000m down to 1000m you will maybe forget to switch the supercharger what can radical reduce your performance if you are in the wrong gear.

Here you can find informations at what altitudes your supercharger needs to be switched (not 100 % accurate do a little bit test flying )
