It used to be that in AB even if your bomb bay doors were closed, when you hit the space bar your bomb dropped immediately and landed exactly where you marked them to land.
Now? "Oh, let me add a 1.5 second delay before the first bomb drops, even if that makes your bombsight nearly useless... and if you take a little too long to drop your next bomb, well, that's another delay because I've automatically closed and now have to reopen the bomb bay door before dropping THAT bomb XAXAXAXA!!!".
Jeez, Gaijin. WAKE UP! You have been doing terrible and continue to do terrible in the gameplay department.
In realistic you need to open your bomb bay before you can drop a bomb
TL:DR:
If your plane is pointing +/-10 degrees from the horizon there will be NO DELAY. you will get worse bomb delay the further away you are from the horizon, and the delay is RNG.
THE PROBLEM: Sometimes in ground battles, when you are diving towards a target and you try to drop a bomb, it can take like 0.1 to 1 second for it to actually drop EVEN THOUGH ur bomb bay is open.
I have discovered that this delay happens due to your plane being pointed away from the horizon.
If your plane is pointed more than 10 degrees from the horizon you will get a delay between pressing the button to drop your bombs, and your bombs actually dropping. if you are within 10 degrees of the horizon, then your bombs will drop immediately when you press the button.
the delay gets worse the further away from 10 degrees you are. E.g: the delay at 15 degrees isnt to bad, but when you get to 30 degrees it could take 0.1 or 1.5 seconds for your bombs to drop.
