We can just investigate this through the server replays and even if he's hacking or not, we get to see who really is at fault.
Warthunder doesn't give you a killcam where you can look at a tank's view instantly snapping on to you. And an aimbot's shot it indistinguishable from a lucky shot without repitition. Players will typically only see the shot that kills them, and will have no knowledge of said cheater doing it constently throughout and across his matches.
That said, as others have said cheats that effect the interaction of the game is impossible. Everything is handled server side, if there's a disagreement between the client and the server, the server wins (this is also related to what causes sparking).
Only cheats that affect player performance are possible, so aimbots and spotbots.
Then of course there's the 'legal cheat' that is that sound mod, which massively boosts engine noises allowing you to very easily ''sound ♥♥♥♥♥'' enemy tanks.
But anyone with half a braincell knows that obvious, and often they have the sense to at least stop first.
I've hit an enemy tank first shot at 2.8km on a ~30 degree canter, that's why landing a first shot on it's own isn't obvious.
You very rarely observe the actual effects of anyone's shots beyond the one that actually kills you.
Are they really? Well that's kind of ♥♥♥♥, you would hope a truck with a light cannon on the back would be worse at fighting vehicles than an armored vehicle with a heavier gun
Or force deactivate it when the game can run 30 FPS on higher resolution
It's OPness is overhyped as a result of it's effect early on, it's heavily reduced in effectiveness now.
