How to make "the grind" a little less boring?

So I've been currently grinding out the Italian tree to get to the G.91(It's one of my favorite jets ever) and I am now currently researching it, but with my luck my premium account expired the day I started researching it. Now, when I try to put some time into the "grind" I just want to bash in my head everytime I play. It's always 1. Fly the G.55s 2. Get 2-3 Kills 3. Repeat 40+ times. I just want to know if anyone has any ideas how to make this damn grind a little less boring. I know grinds shouldn't be a ton of fun, but I just don't want it to be me getting ready to slam my head into a wall after playing 2-3 games of this.

I would love to, but all of my friends who previously played this game with me don't anymore. I tried joining a squadron to see if people would play with me and now that squadron is as good as dead so we are back to square one really

Do not "grind". Play the game, enjoy the unit(s) you are currently playing, do not be thinking about end game. Just have fun, the lions and research will come naturally.

Also, hear all the people complaining about the high tiers. I've sticked around mid- BR's for a long long time just because I like them most

I dislike any BR above 5.7. I have always had the greatest time at that BR and below.

Yeah I do hear people talk about that a lot, but it was always something I wanted to do since I started playing the game so I just feel like I have to. Personally I enjoy playing around teir III, a lot of fun for me, but I really just want certain planes higher up in the BRs

I find this really hard to do for some reason, since the entirety of this game seems to revolve around getting the next plane or tank.

^^^ I agree. Or it's that you want better upgrades for your favorite plane or you want some kind of emblem. Stuff like that

Find tanks you like and play them. I bought the T29 and T28 and super hellcat, and i enjoy playing all those tanks so the grind really doesnt bother me anymore.

Buy a premium tier 4 like the Bias-6 or the T29. put on Music or a playthrough of a game you like. Profit. Grinded entire russian tree in a week.
