It's too slow to energy fight, unlike the F2A. From a Bf 109 pilot's perspective I'd say the F2A represents more of a challenge.
It may be slower but as soon as it turns into a dogfight then you are dead.
Well that's the thing right, energy fighters don't need to turn fight, they may be tempted into one but if they have patience and know how to maintain an energy advantage, there is nothing the biplane can do.
By your logic, we may as well be bringing Chaikas into 9.0 games because "I can out turn the sabre therefore there is no chance I can lose".
F3F is terrible. I do massively better flying an a Peashooter in a 2.0-3.0 BR battle.
Anyways, no, the F2A isn't broken. Is it extremely strong against machine gun armed aircraft? It is. But cannon planes rip it apart if they can get the tail or wings. And when it faces planes at the top of its BR range(2.7+), the Buffalo will begin to struggle.
I rarely see these "overpowered" RU bi-planes. If they were OP, everyone would be using them.
edit; It wasn't removed from the game, the players who bought it still have it. It just isn't visible for new players.
